Biography of Ed Moore III
Ed Nathaniel Moore III was born to a family of three on August 5, 1992 in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. At 5 years old, after being briefly educated in the Memphis area public school system, his parents moved to Dallas, Texas. It was here he discovered his love for news and broadcasting. He frequently viewed newscasts of Fox's KDFW in Dallas and made a conscious effort to become familiar with the anchors and reporters of that station. Throughout grade school, Ed acquired a love for activities such as reading the announcements as his local church and becoming entrenched in 24-hour news channels such as CNN and HLN. At the age of 13, Ed's family moved to the suburbs of Birmingham, Alabama. It was there in the Magic City that Ed received the opportunity of visiting several different news stations such as ABC's WBMA and NBC's WVTM. After graduating from high school in May of 2010, Ed was accepted into the Communications program of Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama where he is currently working on his Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Communications. In January of 2011, Ed began his work at WLJS Studios in Jacksonville, Alabama as a daytime rotation broadcaster on Thursday afternoons from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Four months later, Ed was promoted to the position of specialty talk show host, officially earning him the title as executive host of Late Nite With Ed Moore III. In April of 2012, Ed was awarded the WLJS "Broadcaster Of The Year" Award for his work on the show, as well as contributions to other operations and endeavors for WLJS.
